PROBLEM is that it sends only giberish char. M_ListBox2.AddString("not connected") // this never executes MySerial.WriteData(&a,1) // WriteData works, arduino starts doing what it should if char W received if a button on my application is clicked, it should send a char to arduino, and monitor what arduino is sending back (first it sends the same character back, as in the code above, later it will send results from some sensors on arduino). I made a class Serial, use an instance of this class, More algorithms support parallel and vector execution policies: findfirstof, isheap, isheapuntil, replace, replaceif. this is how I use the library in my c++ application: Intel(R) C++ Compiler is installed with Parallel STL, an implementation of the C++ standard library algorithms with support for execution policies. For a very similar example that works on Linux and macOS, see Section 15.5.
#Serial library for c++ windows how to
It demonstrates how to set the target of the Jrk by sending a Set target command and how to read variables using a Get variables command. My c++ app is using the exact code from the library in the link above. The example C code below uses the Windows API to communicate with a Jrk G2 via serial. My application is a Visual C++ 6.0 MFC Application. Using the serial monitor from arduino software, everything works fine, but not in my c++ app. I can send data from my c++ application towards arduino, but I can not read what arduino is sending to PC.

I am using this library,, for controlling USB port (virtual COM3).
